Tawina Sukasuka

Tawina Sukasuka is the Management and Operations Director for the Malawi EMPOWER project. She joined the project in 2020 and possesses over fifteen years’ experience in financial management and administration. Her professional experience in USG financial management and reporting begun at the University Research Co. LLC where she spent a significant amount of time working on a PEPFAR – CDC funded project on Lab Strengthening. She built a foundation for her career at the Malawi College of Accountancy as a Finance Manager before moving on to head the Finance and Administration Department at Global AIDS Interfaith Alliance. She also held similar positions at the Malawi Interfaith AIDS Association, Self Help Africa, and University Research Co. LLC. Tawina has spent over thirteen years in the INGO sector, gaining experience in areas of financial management, subgrantee management, procurement, administration, and operations, among others.
