Ruth Kundecha

Ruth Mwaiwao Kundecha joined Malawi EMPOWER in May 2021 as the Senior Technical Officer for SRH/HIV. Ruth is a professional nurse with over 18 years of working with adolescents and youth in areas of SRH/HIV and gender-based violence prevention. She has contributed a lot in shaping the adolescent and youth friendly health services programming in Malawi.

Ruth has worked in the Determined, resilient, Empowered, AIDS –Free, Mentored and safe (DREAMS) project with adolescent girls and young women since 2015. She brings to Malawi EMPOWER expertise in AGYW – centered programing focusing on social asset building and promoting access to SRH/HIV services
