Dr. Boniface Maket brings with him more than 25 years of Global Health experience, having extensive expertise in public health program design, planning, health care management and health care delivery systems strengthening in Africa, with specific focus on HIV/AIDS/TB Prevention, care and treatment, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH), Malaria, Reproductive Health and Family Planning. Building on his experience with the Kenyan Ministry of Health, Dr. Maket managed public health programs within the NGO sector in Kenya, first leading World Vision’s Kenya health and nutrition programs (including HIV/AIDS, MNCH, and nutrition). He thereafter served as World Vision International’s Senior Technical Advisor for Health and HIV/AIDS programs in West and Southern Africa, being based initially in Accra, Ghana and thereafter, Johannesburg, South Africa. He left World Vision International to lead PATH’s Malaria Control in Africa as the Deputy Director for Regional Programs, based in Lusaka, Zambia, providing management and programmatic leadership and support to malaria control partnerships in Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Ethiopia and SADC Secretariat. 

After a decade of international duty, Dr Maket relocated back to Kenya and served as Deputy Country Director for Jhpiego and as project lead for a PEPFAR USAID funded project in Western Kenya. Dr Maket later moved to Danya International as the Africa Region Senior Director of Programs, based in Nairobi, and providing leadership to health, nutrition and food security programs in Ethiopia, Zambia, Kenya and Tanzania and engagements with the East African Community.It is after a distinguished service at Danya International that Dr. Maket was recruited by FHI360 to serve as the Chief of Party for Afya Uzazi Nakuru/Baringo Program, a five-year RMNCAH program that is currently in its 4th year of implementation. While at FHI360 as the Chief of Party for Afya Uzazi, Dr Maket was called upon to serve as the Acting Chief of Party for Afya Nyota ya Bonde, a five-year PEPFAR USAID funded project, during a challenging transition period. Dr. Maket led the two USAID funded projects in Kenya simultaneously for a period close to 8 months with remarkable success. The two projects currently enjoy very good relationships with USAID Mission in Kenya.Dr. Maket is a holder of a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of Nairobi, Kenya and a Master of Public Health degree from the Institute of International Health and Development, University of Leeds, UK. He is currently undertaking a Master of Business Administration course in International Healthcare Management with University of Cumbria, UK.

Dr. Maket is a member of various professional bodies including the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
