Sexual Reproductive Health

EMPOWER is expanding availability and access to a comprehensive integrated SRH service package by strengthening existing community-outreach points of service, to provide integrated HIV and SRH Youth Friendly services. We are targeting AGYW enrolled in existing DREAMS clubs, including the Go Girls! Clubs organized by APA community partners (GLOHOMO and YONECO) and using creative approaches through improved and tailored SBC interventions to reach and enroll new AGYW who would benefit from DREAMS services. All new enrollees are linked to DREAMS clubs and services. EMPOWER supports real-time decision-making to improve case management and service quality through systematic use of UIC, risk assessments and referral protocols when offering integrated SRH and HIV Youth Friendly services.

HOW WE DO IT
EMPOWER provides mentorship and skills building to Ministry of Health providers, Youth Community Based Distribution Agents (YCBDA), counselors and Club facilitators to ensure quality service provision of Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH), family planning (FP), condom promotion and STI screening, diagnosis and management services at health facility and community levels. EMPOWER offers an Integrated SRH/HIV service package which includes include:

• Individual risk assessment and risk reduction counseling
• Condom distribution and skills building
• Full range of contraceptives, including long-acting reversible contraceptives and emergency   contraception (or linkages)
• HIV testing services
• Pre-exposure prophylaxis
• Screening, diagnosis and treatment of STI
• Screening for GBV and post-violence care services, including PEP and EC (or linkage)
